Conservation Mission
In the Spirit of Aloha, we will provide the highest level of professional care for the Natural Resources of Ka`ūpūlehu, while always striving to enrich the depth of experience for people who visit, live, and work at our Resort and in our Community.
Educational Outreach Mission Statement
Using our facilities and interactive educational programming we strive to assist with expanding or enhancing marine and environmental knowledge within all schools, school groups, community organizations, and individuals.
Goals For The Program
1) Assist teachers with hands-on science based activities that will relate to their classroom activities and bookwork.
2) We will provide students with access to use the property and our staff’s knowledge for science related projects or internships (non-paid).
We Also Offer
General tours, are open to student mentoring (i.e. help with science projects), are willing to assist with graduate field studies and can also create custom lesson plans for those instructors who cannot find what they need within the preplanned lessons.

Hualālai Resort is happy to introduce you to the Mālama Wai Ola program meaning "caring for the living waters." The Natural Resources team has designed lesson plans to educate and engage students in caring for the marine environment. These lesson plans were created with the student in mind.
