Aquaculture Farms
Here at Hualālai the Natural Resources Department maintains two different types of aquaculture farms. The first aquaculture farm is located behind the Four Season’s Resort where the Pacific Threadfin or Moi (Polydactylus sexfilis) are raised. The second aquaculture farm is located near The Residents’ Beach House restaurant in an ancient Hawaiian loko i’a (Hawaiian fishpond). Both aquaculture farms contain traditionally raised Hawaiian fish. A resource specialist tours the aquaculture farm once a week. Please come and join us for the pond tour, Mondays at 8:30 am.
