Spending time in Hawaii, we've gotten to know the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, the stunning-looking native fish. As the Humu's home fell victim to overfishing and abuse, we wanted to do something to help protect the place we cared about. When our friend Bubba, a local fishing guide, pointed out the Humu's resemblance to a sneaker, we hatched a plan. Two years of designing, lively discussion and product development, has transformed that initial spark into a full-fledged shoe company. Our go-anywhere product line reflects designs inspired by fish, like the Humu. And in return for their role as muse, we invest one dollar from each shoe sold towards protecting their habitats.
