Koakane was born in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, and raised on the mainland. He has been in the health field for thirty years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from Huxley College in Bellingham, Washington and worked for seven years as a Licensed Massage Therapist in Washington State. In 1991, he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Western States Chiropractic College, graduating cum laude. He practiced in Portland until early 1993, when he moved his practice to Kona on Hawai'i Island. He now resides in Captain Cook with his family. The service Koakane provides is multi-dimensional chiropractic care. Besides spinal adjustments that enhance the central nervous systems function, he provides kinesiological muscle response testing and meridian energy balancing. With a chi-stimulating technique he restores balanced muscle function and join biomechanics which help stabilize the posture and reduce the pattern of pain and stiffness. He also uses an Activator instrument, a relatively low force tool for certain "fine tuning" adjustments and for situations where manual adjusting is not appropriate for the patient's condition. Don't worry about any pain; Koakane's specialty is his gentle touch and thorough technique.

Denise resides on Hawai'i Island in the town of Kailua Kona. She has been practicing Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine since 1992. She has a Master's in Acupuncture and is nationally certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Denice has served as an instructor for 5 years at the Traditional Chinese College of Hawai‘i teaching Clinical Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Traditional Diagnosis & Pathology and Chinese Pharmacology I & II. She is also certified in Japanese Meridian Therapy, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Constitutional Facial Acupuncture, Advanced Chinese Pharmacology, Kinesiology, Neurolink, Wisdom of the Body, BodyTalk, Sho-Ni-Shin (needle-free pediatric acupuncture technique) and Matrix Energetics Training. Added to her accolades is a Master's Level in Reiki also known as a "Reiki Master" practitioner in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition. Her expertise in healing is relevant in her many accomplishments and her clients always walk away reassured that they are being nursed back to health.
