Dining at the Four Seasons Resort Hualālai
Pahu i‘a Restaurant
Sweeping ocean views and brilliant island sunsets provide a magnificent backdrop to the oceanfront dining experience at Pahu i`a, where guests are caressed by tradewinds, waves are illuminated by the stars and the gentle surf endlessly soothes.
While the restaurant's centrepiece is a brilliant aquarium (pahu i`a in Hawaiian), its focal point is the vast cobalt blue ocean and rhythmic, rolling surf merely steps away. At your table, Executive Chef James Babian and his team pay homage to Hawai`i's bounty and the surrounding Pacific Ocean. Legendary Four Seasons hospitality and service welcome you, in an inviting atmosphere of relaxed and casual elegance.
Naupaka Terrace, an extension of existing lanai (balcony) seating, offers panoramic views of the ocean in an intimate setting. Its name reflects the naupaka kahakai, a native Hawaiian shrub that grows of a flower. Legend says that the flower is made whole by joining it with a "half flower" from the naupaka kuahiwi (mountain naupaka) which grows upland.
Pahu i`a has been recognised with numerous awards and accolades, including the AAA Four Diamond, the DiRoNA and the Ivy Award. Seats 184.
