Educational Outreach

Traditions of Hawai‘i are a way of life at the Ka‘ūpūlehu Cultural Center. Kaʻaiʻōhelo McAfee-Torco and the mea ho‘okipa share the stories of Hawai‘i, teach the traditions which is our foot print of this culture. Sing and play the ‘ukulele, weave lauhala, or hear how the ancient people of old traveled to Hawai‘i using only clouds, stars, birds and the ocean to guide them. Learn the significance of plants and how they were used as medicine. This and more is shared. If you have a school that would like to visit the Cultural Center, please fill out the site visit form.
